A. Personal and Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information to authenticate your identity and manage your subscription.

B. Financial Information via Plaid
To provide our core services, we integrate with Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your bank accounts. We do not store your bank login credentials. Plaid provides us with read-only access to your transaction history and account balances to power the App's budgeting features. By using our App, you grant us and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution. You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid Privacy Policy.

C. Usage and Analytics Data
We use PostHog to collect analytics data on how you interact with the App (e.g., screens visited, buttons clicked, crash reports) to improve our services. This data is generally anonymized and aggregated.

D. Chat and User Input Data

When you use our "Chat with Sprout" feature or interact with our AI budgeting tools, we collect the text, questions, and messages you input. This data is collected directly from when you type in the app

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's core functionality (e.g., automatic transaction categorization, budget generation).

• Process subscription payments and manage your premium status via Apple StoreKit.

• Generate AI-driven insights and budget optimizations.

• Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and support.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal or financial data to data brokers or advertising networks. We share your information only with the following trusted service providers:

• Plaid: For secure bank account connectivity and transaction syncing.

• Supabase: For secure database hosting, user authentication, and data storage.

• OpenRouter: We send anonymized transaction data, budget information, and your chat messages to our AI providers strictly to generate budget optimizations and categories. We do not send your email, or bank account numbers to these AI models.

• PostHog: For product analytics and crash reporting.

• Apple: For processing subscription payments.

We confirm that any third-party service provider we share your personal data with provides the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Privacy Policy, in compliance with applicable App Store guidelines

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. Your data is encrypted in transit (via HTTPS) and at rest in our databases. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Disconnecting Banks: You may disconnect your bank accounts at any time within the App, which revokes our access to future transaction data via Plaid.

• Account Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support or using the delete option within the App settings. Upon deletion, we will wipe your profile and synced transactions from our active databases.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, if applicable, via an in-app notification.
